Comments: Thanks Shahryar. This is interesting. I have seen them more than once with their left hand behind their back! So, interesting! If I were a ref, I would not have known the significance of what he did, but obviously Faghani knew.
Comments: Faramarz, I read and heard a long time ago (in college), that the since Arabs use their left hands to clean themselves after bathrooms, they do not use it for eating. Some even put their left hand behind themselves to not mistakenly do so. And also greeting people with left hand could be considered an insult. I don't know how much truth is to that, and frankly, I had not thought about it for many years until today and this episode at the game.
