Comments: Shahryar jAn, it sure is a great day for our football. Whether we feel comfortable with it or not, we are now tournament favorites and need to act like that in every game. I got some rest and now am watching Qatar - Uzbak game.
Comments: FIFA really needs to look at the offside rule. Make it that the whole body needs to be offside rather than any part of it. Sort of like the goal line technology. It needs to cross the line fully to be counted.

Comments: Thanks Faramarz and Zinsky for the review of the first 30 minutes. I am not sure of there will be a way for me to watch it. I have a feeling the error probably motivated our team to play better in the last hour of the game. As you know, I believe a lot in the psychology of the game. Giving up an early goal to me is usually a good sign that they can bounce back, but there has to be depth,m which Iran usually does have.

Comments: Shahryar, The 1st 30 minutes was the worst part of the game. I wish I would’ve seen it 😜. The goal was all defensive errors. 4-5 defenders around one guy and they couldn’t hit the ball! The rest of the game, especially the 2nd half, was all Iran. Once again, GN might not be the best coach or best individual but he did well in this game. We had no substitution until after the penalty. I don’t know if that was a record or not. He should have kept the original 11 for another 2 minutes. The snubs were not necessary for killing time or defending. Overall, a fantastic game and great performance.

Comments: The way TM played this game, sent a strong message to everyone, including Korea, if we face them in the finals. They will be respecting us a lot more now. So, it is good that Iran is stepping up late in this tournament. If you want to hit your stride, this is the time to do it.
Comments: I really need to watch the first 30 minutes. I still have not seen Japan's goal, and heard that it was due to defensive error.
Comments: Shahryar, I agree with you. I think this gives everyone on our team, especially the coaching staff that we can take it to any team. So, this game will change our attitude and the way we play for the rest of the tournament.
Comments: Faramarz Jan, There was a moment that Azmoon went down in the penalty area and the referee didn't call anything. Azmoon's reaction was very important; one of disappointment but respect to the referee. At that time, I thought that this referee will call a PK for IRAN when it will count the most, and he did :)
Comments: Shahryar jAn, you did not miss much in the first half. Second half was a whole different story! I thought one area in which we did exceptionally well was in receiving the ball. We shielded it from the Japanese exceptionally well and usually then did something with it.
Comments: There will be a natural "let-down" by the team in the next game, but frankly, this game against Japan is one of those rare games that could take this momentum all the way. I feel sorry for any team that will face Iran in the next game, whether it is Uzbekistan or the host Qatar.
Comments: On several occasions, I though the ref not doing the VAR review was very bad!
Comments: Congratulations beh hameh doostane aziz. Actually, I have been awake and watching the game since minute-30 of the first half. I purposely didn't want to post anything, just not to jinx this. I did not see the first 30 minutes, so I cannot comment on how we did and how we gave up the goal. But from what i saw and especially the second half, we were phenomenal. And we did all this without Taremi. Part of my theory was that the team will rise up because of emotional outburst of Taremi at the end of Syria game. And maybe that helped. But the truth is that this is the real Iran game I watched against Wales, Spain and Portugal in World cup.
Comments: Even more importantly, I am getting ahead faster than anyone!!!
