Comments: Agha Faramarz, especially those coaches who are abusive the most in Iran are the biggest moush when they go out. The worst that I have seen in the moush category were Jalal Talebi and Afshin Ghotbi. I think these two were the worst. The best hands down was CQ followed by Ali Daei and Nekounam as you mentioned. I thought this Asian Cup would have been a great time to give NN some experience but a lashkhor like GN took the spot. In my opinion, the biggest part of our football that is lacking is coaching. We really have no viable choices because of lack of knowledge, personality, or both.

Comments: Rashti jAn, what you are talking about is the "I am Tony" effect. In college several Iranian students would tell people that their name is Tony and they are from Italy. ![[biggrin]](https://cdn.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif "Big Grin - :D") All of this stems from lack of confidence in who you are and now a days, importantly, where you are from. In our own oonyeki we have Iranians who pretend to be AmrikAyi and shrug away from any any local criticism. Problem always is elsewhere. Iranians in general (not all but many) suffer from lack of confidence. In football, this is what I hate about all Iranian coaches in general. They are like Moush. Remember What CQ did to the Korean coach? Have we seen any Iranian coach do that on our behalf? With very few minor exceptions (Daei and Nekounam), the answer is no not really. Had anyone done that our own hamvatans would have called him Vahshi, Aberourizi, etc. But we easy glance over what people from other countries do, even though much of it is worse than what Iranians do on the international stage. GN is no exception. He was so bound that he could not even talk. This really leaves NN and Daei as internal candidates and CQ as the external candidate. The rest are just crap for what we need right now.

Comments: آقا زینسکی مسائل روحی روانی برای تیم ما بسیار مهمه. بازی تیمها مثل آلمان هستند که تنها مسائل روحی روانیشون این هاست که آیا من بازی میکنم یا نه. ولی بازیکنهای ما گروگان سیاسی هستند. گروگان اجتماعی هستند. گروگان مسائل منطقی (ایرانی بر علیه عرب) هستند. مسائل معمولی فوتبال رو هم دارند. اینها خیلی کار میخواد. اگر این مملکت درست حسابی بود, این بازیکنها باید روانکاوی میشدند تمام سال. ولی مملکت که خدارو شکر نداریم. فقط مونده که مربی قبل از بازی اینها رو یه کم آماده بکنه. یکی از مزایای بزرگ کروش این بود که به این مسائل خیلی دقت دآشت. حتی وقتی میدید که بازیکنهاش احساساتی شدند, خودش میپرید تو زمین علم شنگه راه مینداخت خودش قرمز میگرفت تا بازیکنانش آروم بشن و بازی کنن. این قندعلی قیمه خور این چیزها حالیش نیست. جراتش رو هم نداره به کسی اعتراض بکنه بخصوص فدراسیون اسیا. مثل معلولها کنار زمین فقط پانتومیم اومد. اصلا انتظارات رو نباید بالا برد. شانسی خوب بازی کردیم با بد شانسی هم حذف شدیم. همین.

Comments: Add to my previous post. No player in Iran can be just a player. They need to take a stand politically. The stand needs to be clear and strong. Once again, you either with the suffering of the people or you are supporting the regime!!! I’m not sure how they can deal with this! Why do we expect them to be a spokesperson for the country? They are just bunch of kids who are trying to play the game and make money at the same time…

Comments: Even though I played football for a long time and even in some relatively higher levels than street football, I never understood the mental aspect of the game until later in life. For me it was about being fit, following the game plan and work hard. After watching so many games in the highest level, I realized that the teams with better mental preparation can do much better than most expected. TM and Iran in general are not very well prepared for this. That is why we see so much fluctuations in the performance. CQ did a very good job with that. Our performance started to look more stable. I’m not saying we did great in every game but at least we performed in the level expected. Not always and not every game but our ups and downs were within acceptable threshold. When not fully prepared for a match mentally, one event can easily change the outcome. In this past WC, the injury to BV caused so much damage to the team. The famous game against Australia where a fan running in the field was the moment that we needed. In the game against Qatar the moment was when Taremi was brought down and the ref didn’t even try to look at it. It could have ended up being a no call but the fact that it was waved without a closer look, made the whole team lose the focus. A well prepared team (mentally and physically) can’t let every single event throw them off but TM has this problem. We have seen it over and over again. The 3-0 loss to Japan last AC was the most obvious example. Until we start working on this issue and prepare the players for all crazy events in the field, we will continue to have the same issues. In addition to all this, our political system is weighing heavily on the players. Everything they do/say on or off the field is analyzed by the fans and media as being pro or against the regime. That is the hardest part of being a player in Iran.
Comments: I know the excitement is gone but still, we want to finish the prediction. So far I have few, the rest needs to come in by tomorrow morning before the game. I asked this before and I think I have the answer, no 3rd place game, right? Iran will not play Korea! I wish we did. Would have been a good game.
Comments: I agree Farid; that was a true mis-justice done to our team. Now, if CQ were the coach, he would have raised hell and would not have sat down and just looked helpless. We saw how he reacted to the Korean coach 4 years ago to defend Irani's Gheirat. A real coach and a real gentleman. .
Comments: There was a scene where Taremi was brought down from behind heading toward the goal. That scene was never reviewed. Replay clearly showed a PK. But not even a VAR!
