Letting go means you are letting go of a part of you that you have been holding on to for a period of time. You are talking about letting go of a part of your identity even if that is hurting you. Feeling out of control is at the core of all anxiety. Letting go may makes you feel like you are not in control although letting go of things directly puts you in control of them. Letting go means change and change can be scary. Unfortunately, we can be addicted to suffering. Suffering can be more comfortable than letting go because suffering is familiar. Letting go means it is unknown and unknown is scary. Letting go makes you feel weak because most people equate letting go with giving up or giving in when it’s neither of it. Letting go is beyond giving in or giving up. Letting go means feeling free. It means choosing to be in this moment instead of being in the past. As I said earlier, it means to heal rather than blame.
Comments: Totally agree! The guy(s) upstairs are in charge of the VAR before the ref has a chance to review it. They decide if the call by the ref was wrong. I have watched many games using VAR in Europe and Americas. Most of the VAR reviews make full sense. This tournament was completely different. Any 50/50 calls for Qatar would be reviewed. The 50/50 against them would not be even looked at. I was very surprised when they actually looked at the hand ball during Iran’s game. Someone must have fucked up!!!

Comments: Faramarz nailed it. VAR in this game called for three penalties, two red cards, and all for Qatar. None for Jordan who had the ball and attacking most of the time. Three PKs and one red card was awarded. Have you guys seen anything like this in the final game of any tournament? The issue is not the VAR but the fact that there is a person up there who can decide to call VAR or not. This actually allows for more bias to creep in. At least on the field, ref doesn't have the time to think about stuff. But if you can argue for ten minutes, allow the game to go on, and then call VAR in your favor, this rigs the whole system.
Comments: Qatar the best team? In a tournament that had Japan, Korea, Iran, Australia, and Saudi Arabia, all much stronger sides? These teams eliminated each other. The only legitimate challenge that they had was Iran. In that game, like in this one, VAR only came in when it was beneficial for Qatar. Taremi's bringing down in the box, twice, neither called for VAR! I think there were only two or one VAR in that game all together. If they had done it more, gandesh dar miumad. In this game, the ref handed out three penalties (one after the play continued for ten minutes, clearly there were arguments upstairs), and a red card, all of it after a VAR review. There was another VAR call for a red card that the ref disagreed with twice! All of this in one game. Now, for Jordan who was doing most of the attacking and had the ball, one or no VAR calls were made all game long. This was a sham!
Comments: The whole VAR is relatively new and needs work. When 70% of the VARs favor one team or another, something is off. We either should look at every questionable call during the match or none at all. It can’t be selective. Maybe each team gets 3 calls they can challenge. Let the coaches decide. I agree Taremi didn’t perform as expected. I certainly hope the team playing Turkmenistan be much younger than this team. Next set of games are in June.
Comments: I think Qatar's keeper was also the best of the tournament too. He is from Sudan, Meshaal Barsham. Comments: So Qatar hosted the cup and successfully defended their championship. I am not the type to stay in denial and must admit the best team won the cup. Qatar performed beyond expectations and deserved it. They needed some luck in a couple of games(UZB,IRN) but that's part of the game. Tournaments like the continental championships or the world cup are won by teams whose stars show up and perform. Japan, Korea, Iran, Saudi and Australia had their own stars and superstars but none of them performed up to or beyond their potential. But Qatar had only one superstar in Akram Afif and he came here to perform and was by far the best player of the tournament and won the cup for his team. As far as Iran is concerned the stars did not do their job. Yes it's great to win the top scorer title in Russia or Portugal but what people remember is what they do at international level. In 1996 we had Ali Daei who put Iranian football back on track with his MVP performance in the cup. In 2004 we had Ali Karimi who almost took Iran to the final. Since then none of our 'stars' have performed up to their billing and reputation even though they have been playing in top leagues for a long time.
Comments: I’m assuming the VAR is reviewed only after the guys upstairs decide it needs to be reviewed! Sounds biased but it is what it is. The offside digital image is strange as well. They show us what the system believes the moment the ball was released! It can be changed if someone wants to cheat. Either way, I think I like the old fashioned system better. It wasn’t perfect but less prone to cheating!

Comments: My prediction for the lasat game is Qatar 2-0. They didn't come all this way and didn't pay all that money to the Kuwaiti referee to beat the mighty Iran who defeated Japan, just to lose to the little Jordan.
