Comments: Zinsky, Thanks for sharing that story, and the picture! Man, she looked so good then. Agha Farid, Cute puzzle; thanks. And its actually simple to solve if you look at it this way: 1) C + M = 10 2) D + M = 20 Therefore you can conclude that D = C + 10 So, now you have: 3) D = C +10 , plus 4) D + C = 24 If you add the the last two equations (after moving C to the left in first one), you get: 2D = 34, so D = 17 :))) Yep, Konkoor is right :)
Comments: 😁😁 I have to give a talk at U Chicago. After that remind me to post a funny story of mine.
Comments: One more interesting thing I remember from high school Farsi class. How do you spell “Arze arze arz ra arz kard”?
Comments: Funny story about sexy magazines! We lived in a 3 story apartment. The guy upstairs was a religious guy (not crazy religious but religious nevertheless). He installed a mailbox which was unusual for the time. Back then they would just leave the mail at the door and we would pick ours and the other two apartments would take theirs. One time I noticed a small piece of magazine showing in his mailbox. Being a teenager, I pulled it out. It was a dirty version of Playboy! That magazine was handed to every kid in the neighborhood!!!🤣 Finally, the neighbor approached me and said, “I lost a magazine in my mailbox! If anyone found it, please asked them to put it back!” Poor guy was so embarrassed! We returned the magazine after few weeks. I believe few pages were missing 🤔🤫🫣
Comments: I hear you. So many lives changed. Our lives certainly changed and because of us, our parents' lives changed as well. During my time, there was no university or konkur. They shut it down. So, I had no choice bu leave.
Comments: It’s funny how one ReeShoo guy changed my future in about one hour! I had no intention of leaving Iran at that time. Who knows, it could have turned out much better/worse! Life is funny that way. One small, seemingly insignificant event, could change the rest of your life. My cousin, 2 years younger, ended up going to college in Tehran. Served during the war (luckily the last year before it ended) and stayed there. I would never compare lives but he is doing well. He was there to take care of his parents before they passed away. That is one thing I will always regret about being away for so long. |
