Comments: Have you guys seen Tagline Trumpinator ad? It is hilarious!
Comments: For the first time in more than 50 years, an American spacecraft has landed on the moon. The lander, named Odysseus, was built by Intuitive Machines of Houston. Minutes after beginning its landing sequence at 6:11 p.m. Eastern time the spacecraft touched the ground, making it the first privately built spacecraft to land on the lunar surface. While the spacecraft is on the moon and transmitting signals to Earth, Tim Crain, the mission director and Intuitive Machines’ chief technology officer, said it was uncertain if the spacecraft would be able to achieve its objectives. Still, in the face of that indeterminate outcome, Dr. Crain congratulated his colleagues in the flight control center at the company’s headquarters. “Houston, Odysseus has found its new home,” Dr. Crain said. The landing site was a flat area near the Malapert A crater, about 185 miles north of the moon’s south pole. The moon’s polar regions have attracted much interest in recent years because of water ice hidden in the shadows of craters there. Odysseus left Earth early on Feb. 15 aboard a SpaceX rocket. It pulled into lunar orbit on Wednesday. About 12 minutes before landing on Thursday, it fired its engine to begin its descent to the surface. From this point onward in the landing sequence, Odysseus was operating completely on its own, with flight controllers at Intuitive Machines’ control center powerless to change what happened.
Comments: I’m confused! America landed on the moon in 1969 with humans getting out and walking on the moon. Today they sent another one that “successfully” landed on the moon and that is a big deal??? In 1969 we didn’t have color TVs, super computers or internet. How doing something that was done nearly 60 years ago news?
Comments: I love the Dari accent. Always have. I am about to head to the neighborhood and cannot wait.
Comments: Zinsky and Faramarz, The lahjeh (Dari) and his style add to the beauty of the poems he reads. His selections are very good as well. Some are unknown to me. This one is from Forough: https://www.instagram.com/p/C22jv-lttl9/?hl=en
Comments: Houthis order ‘ban’ on Israel, US and UK-linked ships in the Red Sea
Comments: Iranian teams of all sports have issues with conditioning. It’s much better now that it was 20 years ago but still an issue. One thing I have to say is that conditioning and youth development is not the responsibility of the national coach. It’s for the clubs to make sure the players are fit and young players are being trained and ready for national team. Most national team coaches don’t have the whole team long enough to get them fit. They pick the best players they can find and try to have a plan for the games. GN is not a good NT coach. He does relatively well in club level but not capable of doing much with the national team.
Comments: GN was going on about how well his trainers have trained the team preparing them for the later stages of the tournament. But I wonder whether the element of fatigue had anything to do with it. Didn't Sepahan lose in the first leg the same way, toward the end of the match? Is there an element of fatigue and lack of conditioning here?
Comments: Zinsky, glad you did not go in bigger then. Would not want to lose you to Iran like we did with Simply Ken. Well, actually, he would have kept posting had it not been for the daily arguments and some times abuse. Lost too many like this.
Comments: Sepahan was up 1-0 and was doing relatively well until the red card. Playing with 10 players was too much. They lost 3-1 again with all goals against them coming in the last 20 minutes and after the red card.
Comments: Faramarz, As you mentioned, I only invest (these days) with the cash in hand. I don’t keep much cash in the bank. These days I only invest in mutual funds. I had a feeling for this one but too scared to go any bigger than 20 shares. With 30+% in one day and if I would have gone big, my trip to Iran could have lasted more than few weeks. 😩Maybe semi permanent!!!
Comments: Maghsoud that picture is hilarious! Hamvatan, very nice deklame!
Comments: I also do not think it was China, the government, unless they were testing a new tool. It is a lot more likely though that an individual or a group did this.
Comments: I wanted to get in as well but in the end decided against it. I cannot go in big like Reza did. So, I figured a few thousand more or less with a small investment would not go anywhere. Really nice job Reza, by the way, keeping cash in hand so much for an occasion like this.
Comments: I do believe this was a hack. Some countries/individuals can collect information by doing such things. Biggest gains could be the experience.
Comments: Good for you. Start looking for the 2nd home! I’m happy with a free trip. Don’t have the balls for bigger anymore. My big bets are over.
Comments: Zinsky, now they are saying it was a China cyber attack. I think this is BS. What would China gain from this?
Comments: Agha Zinsky, if it goes up another 200 points, I will be able to buy a second house. I went in big. :) |
