Comments: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel's armed forces had "unintentionally" struck a convoy from the humanitarian group World Central Kitchen in Gaza late Monday, killing seven aid workers. "Unfortunately, in the last day there was a tragic case of our forces unintentionally hitting innocent people in the Gaza Strip," Netanyahu said Tuesday as he left a hospital in Jerusalem after a hernia operation. "It happens in war. We will investigate it right to the end. ... We are in contact with the governments, and we will do everything so that this thing does not happen again."
Comments: There are rumors that the food donation trucks that was attacked in Gaza had an Iranian agent in it. Later on they realized he was Canadian!!!
Comments: There is nothing Russia could do about Israeli attacks. They don't enter Syrian airspace they hit their targets from the occupied Golan heights which is less than 100KM from Damascus. Iran has lost many generals over the years in battle. There is always someone else ready to take their place. That's one of their biggest strengths actually!

Comments: I agree Israel has no plans and losing the war. We all agree. But let's be real too. We are losing all of our generals by them. That is not good. The strength of some of these generals is their own connections and intelligence. For a new comer it takes months to know who is who because most everything is secretive. I still think Russia reveals our secrets. That is what Zarif is saying. Putin even knew about Soleimani.
Comments: Realist I think the most credible diplomat in iran is still Zarif. Today he was outraged by Russian inaction than Israeli action. Former Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has once again cautioned against placing excessive reliance on Russia, while the regime remains dependent on its fellow sanctioned ally. "They knew exactly what the Zionist regime was about to do". “If we gave excessive concessions to Russia and sacrificed ourselves because of our wrong viewpoints, we should not expect the same behavior from Moscow,” noted the former foreign minister. Zarif said, “Today’s world is not the world of nobleness or chivalry. If we have this basic understanding, we will neither swoon over Russia nor hate it.” Zarif is heard saying that it was not in Russia’s interest for Tehran to normalize relations with the West. He also spoke of insulting his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov. Lavrov asked for updates on US and Iran communications , and Zarif responded: “It’s none of your business.”

Comments: As a side note: I think we are seeing the consequences of the Kushner "middle east peace". Forcing one side to give up everything (corrupt arab governments giving up on Palestine) only emboldens the other side. That is what got into Yaboo's head. I am sure that they also timed it so that it helps Trump in the elections. Biden and the democrats are the lamest ducks in the pond. They know this and yet do not have the balls to back off from supporting Israel and gaining a lot of support for elections. I think this will also lose the elections for the democrats.

Comments: I can tell you that in Iran there is no love lost for either side of this conflict. Most people are just saddened by the loss of lives. I don’t think anyone anywhere can watch children dying and families suffering and don’t feel sad. This is no longer a question of who is right and who is wrong. It’s about humanity and pain.
Comments: In NFL when your team is ahead by 3 touchdowns you try to run the ball as much as possible and run out the clock and secure a win. Similarly in football if you are ahead by 3 goals you don't go on all out attack and risk losing your lead. But the teams that are losing and far behind in both NFL and football will attack with as much as they can and take risks in order to try and catch up and avoid losing. Which most of the times results in counter attack by the winning side and they end up scoring and increasing their lead. Israel right now is the losing team. They are behind with more than 3 touchdowns and 3 goals and are desperately trying to score and make the loss less painful for their fans. The entire north of the country is evacuated since Oct. 7 and none of the residents are willing to go back anytime soon. The tourist port of Eliat on the Red Sea is essentially out of business. These are tremendous losses for their small economy and if not for the US taxpayers welfare checks the country would be bankrupt soon. OTOH, Iran and it's allies are the winning team and are comfortable playing with the lead and are just trying to run out the clock and win the game. They will not risk their lead by going on an all out attack, but wait for the other side to make a mistake and then take the opportunity and punish them. That's the dynamics of the situation right now in this war. After more than 6 months Israel has only managed to kill scores of people mostly women and children and destroy thousands of buildings. It has attacked schools, mosques, churches, hospitals, UN staff, aid workers and yesterday they even attacked an embassy. But despite it all Israel has not accomplished any of the goals they set at the beginning of the war. Thus, they are desperate and disoriented today as much as they were on Oct. 8 and will continue to act irrationally until their "Western" sponsors slap them in the face and bring some sense into them.
Comments: Israel seems to have gone wild after months of bombing everything they could find. From civilians to aid workers and IRI staff in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and… They have realized they can do whatever they want and there are no consequences. The question is if this helps them win the war or bring peace to its people. Unless they can kill every citizen of Palestine and all the military staff working against them around the region, they can not stop the fight. I don’t know if they have an end game. If this is just a revenge war, it will not bring them peace.
Comments: Faramarz. I am sure. Both ISIS attacks in Russia and Kerman were orchestrated by Israel. They have their hands into everything. And USA knew both. Damascus airspace is controlled by Russia. They also knew that this was coming yesterday and they did not give any warning to Iran. I just hope Russia does not push Iran for retaliation.
Comments: I am also wondering whether the attack in Moscow had an Israeli hand in it. It benefited no other country. Definitely did not benefit Ukraine.
Comments: I also do not think anything will happen immediately. The regime in Iran is much more shrewd than that. Otherwise, they would have survived this long. I think retaliation will come in a very subtle way later or not at all. All of this is good for the government in Iran, IMO.
