I'll have to remember the term "Dollarocracy". It describes the US of A very well.

Realist very well put my friend. Very well put.

The main problem with the US is that it has stopped to be a democracy a long long long time ago. It has become a Dollarocracy instead.

In other words private wealth is running the country instead of a representative government. People want gun control overwhelmingly, free abortions and most people want the US to stay out of wars. None is achieved!

The sad part is most people can not do anything to make a change. Once you get a mortgage and have kids and put them in college at $50K a year the vast majority of Americans become hostages to the system that does not represent them.

The only segment of the population that can afford to fight the system are the students. You see that now in college campuses all over the country. But even them are now being threatened with expulsion and even a future job in the system.

Meanwhile the Congress has written a welfare check for $96B for Israel and Ukraine to make wars the people in the US do not want. Imagine what could be done with that money if it was spent on basic education, healthcare and the falling infrastructure right here in the US.

Dollarocracy can not be cured with minor treatment and over the counter drugs, it needs radical surgery.

When the strongest argument for what is happening in US colleges is that IRI is even worse, we have a problem. When IRI becomes the bar for bad behavior and anything above is fine, we are screwed. When America is acting like a 3rd world country in crisis, we are fucked.

Three officers have died following a shooting incident in Charlotte, North Carolina, including one deputy US Marshal and two local task force officers, authorities say.
A total of eight law enforcement officers were shot during the incident at a residence, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings said at a Monday evening news conference.
The shooting unfolded at the 5000 block of Galway Drive as members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force were serving a warrant for possession of firearm by a convicted felon, Jennings said.
The officers were met with gunfire from a “high-powered rifle” and returned fire, fatally shooting a suspect in the front yard of the house. Jennings said the US Marshals had been serving the warrant to that suspect.
“As officers approached, they received additional gunfire from inside the residence,” the police chief said.
Three members of the US Marshals task force were killed, Jennings said. Four Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers were also shot, including one who is in critical condition “fighting for his life” in the hospital, he said. The other officers are in stable condition.
The chief did not name the officers as authorities are working to notify their families.
There are also two “people of interest” being questioned by police, Jennings said.
“We are very early in the investigation,” he added. “CMPD will lead this investigation, we still have a lot ot uncover, a lot of questions that are not answered right now.”
Authorities cleared the scene earlier Monday afternoon, telling residents they no longer needed to shelter in place in a post on X.
“Numerous law enforcement officers struck by gunfire in active situation,” the department had said earlier on X.
Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles said in a statement she is “deeply saddened by the shooting that occurred that involved Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers and US Marshals today.”
“I ask that all Charlotteans keep them, the other injured officers, and their families in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time,” Lyles said.

Really? They would just listen and leave? Are you stupid? It’s like asking America why don’t you ask all KKKs or other crazies leave America! Come on!

Rashti. Of course we condemn killing of innocent people. That is why you see many Israelis on the streets of Tel Aviv asking for an end to this conflict. Specially killing people of the same relatives and with the same DNA. This better end soon. The disgusting part is when you have Chinese, Australians, Italians, and French bidding for rebuild of Gaza. As we speak, in the middle of an unfinished war. Very sad.
While the media is keeping average Americans busy with college protest be certain that innocent lives are being taken away full force in Kiev and Rafah.
Peace upon the universe.

Reuters Protesters in support of Palestinians in Gaza and pro-Israel counter-protesters scuffle during demonstrations at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in Los Angeles, CaliforniaReuters

Pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel groups have clashed at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) as demonstrations over the war in Gaza continue across US campuses.

Nationwide rallies - during which there have been hundreds of arrests - showed no sign of stopping over the weekend.

At UCLA "physical altercations broke out" after a barrier separating the two sides was breached, an official said.

The White House has insisted that demonstrations must remain peaceful.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told ABC that the US government respects the right of protesters demonstrating over the Israel-Gaza war.

Demonstrators breach barriers, clash at UCLA as campus protests multiply: Updates

"Physical altercations" occurred Sunday on the UCLA campus when demonstrators breached a security barrier set up to keep people protesting the Israeli war in Gaza separate from counterprotesters, the school said in a statement.

The clash came one day after arrests on at least four universities as demonstrations and days-long encampments in opposition to the war swept across the nation's college campuses. Students are calling for a cease-fire and want their schools to stop investing in Israeli firms that are involved with or profit from Israel's war against Hamas.

The protesters also want the U.S. to halt military aid to Israel's war effort.

“UCLA has a long history of being a place of peaceful protest, and we are heartbroken about the violence that broke out,” the school's vice chancellor for strategic communications, Mary Osako, said in a statement.

Though the Daily Bruin campus newspaper said one of its reporters was hit in the face with a flag, the Los Angeles Times called the demonstrations "large and noisy but mostly peaceful'' as campus police broke up minor scuffles. At the cross-town University of Southern California, the campus remains closed after 93 people were arrested during demonstrations Wednesday. The school has canceled its main graduation ceremony amid the turmoil.
