Comments: Round 27
Comments: Tens of thousands will die very quickly! It seems we are at the point of this war when the world has given up on civilians. Ab ke az sar gozasht, you know the rest… May 8 (Reuters) - Hamas said it was battling Israeli troops on the outskirts of the Gaza Strip's crowded southern city of Rafah on Wednesday after a U.S. official said Washington had halted a shipment of powerful bombs that Israel could use in a full-scale assault. The United States, which is seeking to stave off an Israeli invasion of Rafah, said it believes a revised Hamas ceasefire proposal may lead to a breakthrough in an impasse in negotiations, with talks resuming in Cairo on Wednesday.

Comments: In minute 16:00 just before Dortmund gol, PSG player had an open goal but instead of scoring he hits it into his own tokhm. The assist goes to the goal post.

Comments: I cannot believe that "democratically" elected members of congress of the US of A have created a letter that that reads like the mob has written it. This is so scary. Where are the defenders of the US of the democratic A?
Comments: Iran is gaining credibility in the Muslim world and feeling emboldened. This doesn’t bode well for the region
Comments: Better idea is to have a football Olympics every 4 years. Each country will participate in all 3 events (men and women) and at the end the one with most medals wins the competition!
Comments: I agree. I say Brazil are in their own category they are clearly #1 in every thing football ![]() The next level is Argentina, Spain and Portugal. I would put Iran at the next level in the combined ranking but one notch lower in the regular football.
Comments: We can all agree Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Portugal are in top 4. Iran makes up for their football with beach and indoor football. The rest are all over the place defending on the type of football.
Comments: I don;t think we should mix the men and women rankings. The weighting that was suggested looks reasonable. I am sure FIFA statistical gurus can come up with a formula for the combined ranking my combined ranking was just a guess based on glance at the top 20 teams in each category. BTW, England, France Germany, etc.. that are excellent in the regular football really fade in futsal and the beach category. Only a few countries are consistently in the top20 for all 3 categories.
Comments: You are an independent international organization. BUT!!! "We will move to end all American support for the ICC, sanction your employees and associates, and bar you and your families from the United States. You have been warned."
Comments: Twelve Republican senators signed a letter threatening members of the International Criminal Court with “severe sanctions” and a ban from the United States after it was reported that the ICC was preparing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The letter – which was signed by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), among others – warned ICC prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan that any attempts to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu or other Israeli officials would “result in severe sanctions” against both Khan and the ICC as a whole. “By issuing warrants, you would be calling into question the legitimacy of Israel’s laws, legal system, and democratic form of government,” the letter claimed, before protesting that the ICC had not issued similar arrest warrants for Chinese President Xi Jinping, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, or Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The senators continued:
As noted by Zeteo founder Mehdi Hasan, who published the letter in full on Monday, the American Service-Members’ Protection Act threateningly cited by the senators was signed into law by former President George W. Bush in 2002 and “has since become widely known as ‘The Hague Invasion Act’ because it authorizes the U.S. president ‘to use all means necessary and appropriate’ to bring about the release not just of U.S. persons but also allies who are imprisoned or detained by the ICC.”

Comments: Nice job! The problem is that France, Belgium, England, Netherlands, Croatia, Mexico & Germany have no ranking in Beach Football. They do very well in regular football! Do we want to count the Beach football as zero? Too much time in our hands, it seems!!!
Comments: A few notes: 1. I unsed Zinsky's weights |
