Comments: 2. On our standing divided (for nearly 50 years): When you compare the various movements since revolution to the revolution itself you quickly realize that this last movement was the most divided. The green movement was probably the least divided. When you continue the comparison, you realize that the one distinct difference between the green movement and this last one was that the green movement was mostly led from inside iran and inside the system. But the last one was being hijacked by leader-want-a-be's from outside. Now why are the one who want to be leaders outside are so divided. If you continue the comparison to '79, you will quickly realize that in '79 there was one group (Khomeini et al.) that worked on gaining traction in Iran and did not really bother to disagree with any of the other groups (commies, mojahedin, jebhe meli, etc.). It actually embrace them. Now why did they accept khomeini? The answer is simple, because he was getting the traction (albeit through foreign help or not is a separate but important discussion). The other groups realized that they could not achieve overthrowing Shah by themselves. so, they united with Khomeini. Now on the other hand, there is no group that has really much of a traction. So, the various groups really are not recognizing others as the leaders. Each is saying why not me. So, they fight each other. None is actually trying to gain traction in Iran which is Ironic given that they are all planning a whole lot of stuff for Iran. They are just busy fighting each other. The one who could have galvanized people more than others is RP who is mostly absent and we all know why. So, this movement is really done for now, until a legitimate leader shows up who is interested in convincing people of Iran to follow him rather than fighting the competition. After so much roodeh derAzi, I again reach to the same place I was before all this: The main reason we do not have a better system in Iran is not that the system in iran is bad. It is because for 50 years, we do not have a better alternative.
Comments: Thanks Reza and Zinsky for the posts. I had not realized that I did not post Professor Tamari's statement. It is an important one. A couple of quick notes on my way to Sunday Football: 1. When the system here is pushed, as much as we are fed that we are in a democracy, we are forced to realize that this is a democracy but only up to the point of not hurting the core values of the system which is money, money, and money. A few zionists realized this and used it to take control of the system. They then used the control to make the system do things that are inherently and obviously very bad to the system itself. This is how you realize that the system is on a path to self destruction. In this situation some terms and concepts have been created and fed to us which on the surface sound good but when you think about it are only there to advance the agenda of the few who have control and not to perpetuate the interests of the whole system. Take for instance the concept of antisemitism. It sound good up until the point that you realize it is also meant to serve the hidden agenda of having one group of people to be the chosen ones. The rest are just there to serve. This is why terms that make more sense are so rarely used, like anti-bigotry. These terms are no good because they put everyone on the same footing. Now people are slowly recognizing that and the sacred antisemitic status is dissipating. This brings anger and violence from the system through various forces like the police and the lebAs shakhsis ala IRI.

Comments: Divided we stand!!! 😩 After the 2022 nationwide uprising against the Islamic Republic, the Council of Solidarity for Democracy and Freedom in Iran held its first meeting at Georgetown University in Washington DC on February 10, 2023. This council, which included diaspora members like Prince Reza Pahlavi, Hamed Esmaeilion, Shirin Ebadi, Abdullah Mohtadi, Masih Alinejad, and Nazanin Boniadi, published its "Charter of Solidarity and Organization for Freedom" on March 10, 2023. The council eventually disbanded due to the departure of some of its members. Masih Alinejad, a journalist and civil activist, previously commented on the breakdown of this coalition, saying, "Not only do Westerners have this question, but the people of Iran too, wondering how foreign governments can trust an opposition that is scattered like driftwood." In February 2024, Hamed Esmaeilion spoke to Iran International about the reasons for his withdrawal from the Solidarity Council, stating that while the majority wanted to advance plans through the formation of specialized committees, a constitution, and mechanisms, there was "resistance from Mr. Pahlavi." However, Prince Reza Pahlavi stated, "We must be able to show the countries of the world that we are not lacking in capability and management," adding, "We can show the world that there is another way besides attacking Iran's nuclear facilities."
Comments: Demonstrations continued and new encampments were erected at universities across the country as commencement ceremonies took place Saturday following weeks of pro-Palestinian protests that have led to nearly 3,000 arrests, according to an NBC News tally. Dozens of students walked out of the Virginia Commonwealth University ceremony Saturday morning as Gov. Glenn Youngkin delivered the commencement address, video posted on X showed. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna151805
Comments: Faramarz, Non violent my ass! Instead of beating students and the professors, why not meet their demands, even if for the short term until the war is over? America is moving towards a dictatorship with Jews in charge. With their money and power they are controlling everything. Either fear or unconditional love we have for Israel will be the end of us!

Comments: Dozens of professors among those arrested in campus protests
Comments: As police cracked down on anti-war protests on college campuses across the US in recent weeks, among those arrested were a pair of silver-haired 65-year-old professors armed only with their cell phones. Annelise Orleck was knocked to the ground and restrained with plastic handcuffs at a protest at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. She later complained of whiplash. Steve Tamari was tackled by officers and taken into custody at a demonstration at Washington University in St. Louis, an attack he said resulted in multiple broken ribs and a broken hand. Each had been filming the protests in the moments before they were arrested. Both Orleck, who is Jewish, and Tamari, who is Palestinian American, said they were motivated to attend in part by a desire to support student protesters exercising their right to free speech. Their stories illustrate a facet of the student-led protests that has received comparatively little attention: The role professors have played in the demonstrations, and the response by their administrations and police. Orleck and Tamari are among at least 50 professors arrested at campus protests across the country, according to a CNN review of police records, court filings, and news reports. (Since April 18, more than 2,400 students have been arrested amid protests on more than 50 campuses.) In some cases, professors said they were actively participating in protests based on their own beliefs. Others said they attended to show support for their students.

Comments: Arabia teams r all BS. All the euro players now want to come back. They r destroying their indigenous football with all the shit they bring in. Every other year, the team gets a new coach and a totally new style with a new "superstar". Buying time to show those games in america is such a idiot decision.
Comments: Money can buy you love and trophies. Saudi clubs spend a lot of money but none of them made it to the final of the ACL despite their big stars. Instead 2 clubs with no stars made it. Interesting note for Iranians is the coach of Yokohama is none other than Harry Kewel of the 1997 AUS team ![]()
