Comments: There is not much that is true from 200 years ago, unless u r peighambar and are predicting the future. It is crazy to bring arguments from 200 years ago and justify some bs here and today. The system is rigged and they know it. Media is part of this antidemocratic system.
Comments: If you can imagine a compounded rate of return of 9% annum, RP's inheritance of $69 Million from 1979 would have netted him $326 million today. Even if spent half he’s left with $163 million in the bank. Of course, these are all very conservative figures as JP took over his money at the direction of Rockefeller family. I can only assume the return rate has been in low double digits. One thing that is not in dispute is his share

Comments: Islam is coming back!!!😔 Three sisters from Saudi Arabia have faced arrest, imprisonment and travel bans because of their online activism. One has fled the country, another is in prison and one faces a travel ban. The case of these sisters has raised questions about previous promises of social freedoms in the kingdom. The World’s Shirin Jaafari reports.
Comments: They keep explaining why electoral college made sense 200 years ago! Maybe it did but we live now...
Comments: Iran and the Houthis have defeated the US military
Comments: Those two are among my reasons as well. What kind of democracy creates such an obvious lever for corruption? Why would you not count people equally and simply count the votes instead of electoral college?
Comments: Democracy, as we have come to understand, is no longer the system in this country. It might have never been the case but the past 20+ years has moved it away from reality ever further. 2 party system with $$$$ in hand and corporations/super rich providing most of the funding have highjack the system. Special interest, lobbying, dark money & close door handshakes have taken the democracy & made it, I don't know what. I believed in voting. I have voted in every single election since I became a US citizen. At this stage, I am not sure if it matters anymore. 1st of all I live in a state that is not going to change with or without my vote. 2nd is the fact that the parties, as divided as they seem, have the same agenda. 95% of the foreign policies and 85% of the domestic ones are identical.
Comments: For me, the system is corrupt. It is not about individual candidates. An idiot like Trump making it this far, incompetent Biden running for second term after a rigged primary t undo Sanders and after proving he is just a puppet, ... None of these would take on the system and the bribery and the blackmail they call lobby that goes on daily. So, I have never voted. Things that matter to me and affect the greater humanity (rather than me) are all ignored by both parties. So, I will not be voting anytime soon.
Comments: I am not convinced but he seems better than the other 2 choices!!! Both current president Joe Biden and predecessor Donald Trump have a major problem on their hands, and his name is Robert F. Kennedy Jr. A new round of polling affirms he’s a threat to both in battleground states. Kennedy seems to be even more of a threat to Trump’s efforts, eating into the former president’s voting base by a near 2-to-1 margin. The latest New York Times/Siena poll shows Kennedy at roughly 10% across the six key battleground states — Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona — that could likely decide the election. A NewsNation/Decision Desk HQ poll from April shows that nearly half of Republicans, 48%, said they have a favorable view of Kennedy, while only 35% of Democrats do. While this suggests Kennedy could pose more of a problem for Trump, one voter told NewsNation that if the independent weren’t on the ballot, she would leave it blank. “Trump is a career criminal, and I’ve never liked Biden,” she said. “I don’t like most of his policies, and I think our democracy is hanging by a thread.” RFK Jr. says he made ballot in 14 statesSo far, Kennedy has claimed he has enough signatures to qualify for the ballot in 14 states, the latest being Texas, NewsNation partner The Hill reported. Kennedy’s campaign said Monday that the presidential hopeful and his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, turned in 245,572 signatures to the Texas secretary of state. The office said it received the petition, though it did not confirm the number of listed signatures, according to The Hill.
