Comments: I do not think Ahmadinejad has any chance. He has criticized rahbar and the system a few times. He is also ready to deal with the west. Russia will not let him get the presidency again.
Comments: Ajab olaghiye Trump. tahdid mikone ghaziro.
Comments: "Trump inciting violence again"
Comments: Iran's ex-president Ahmadinejad registers to run in presidential elections
Comments: Trump threatens that if he is put in jail, his supporters will try a coupe. I really hope that he gets jail time. Either his bluf will be called or if a coupe is actually tried, it will prove that this is a banana republic.
Comments: Zinsky jAn, what you say about original Bostonians is true. But I also want to do bit of a plug for the rest of America in that you can find families like that everywhere with roots deep into the ground. IMO the reason California looks so much worse is that we are mostly interacting with the worst segment of the California population-the California Iranians. Holy crap that segment is crap. Having forgotten the best of our culture and taken in the worst of american culture and added some more shit on top by themselves. Clearly this is not everyone and there are some gems here as well, but mostly belong to the category I describe. They define themselves and their self worth by the money in their pocket. Usually these are also people who have not had this much wealth and clearly never expected to have this much wealth. so, as so eloquently we say in farsi: khodeshoono gom mikonan. This goes back to what Rashti says on and off. I.e. "the capacity to handle wealth". Now Boston being one of the oldest and rooted cities in america, some things also comes naturally for it. One is that their older homes are very very modest. They are used to this, and are quite happy with it. The fact that they are medical doctors and make shit load of money is not enough to uproot them. So, a long winded answer: I do agree with you fully about original bostonians. But the picture is skewed a bit for us who have lived among the worst of the worst. Off to football now.
Comments: Faramarz, You lived in Boston for a while. I was wondering if you have the same expression of the Bostonians! Just to clarify, by Bostonians, I mean the people who have been here for generations. They are very white!🤭 they love their city and stay here for as long as possible. Generation after generation. They also have zero “chosee”! They don’t like to show off and live a very modest life. They might be very rich (old money) but you couldn’t tell by their clothes, cars or behavior. My daughter was getting couple of roommates for the apartment she lives in. One of the girls is a 3rd generation Bostonian. By looking at her and her family, one would assume they are lower middle class. Her parent’s credit report came in! Boy or boy! Both are medical doctors with the mom owning a private practice. They make over a $million per year!!! They drive an old Subaru! Dress as casual as it gets with jeans and sweaters. They do own a huge house about 25 miles outside the city. I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about their lifestyle until I remembered a quote from some British guy. The happiness people are the ones with lots but others don’t know it. These days, Boston is becoming a very mix immigration population. Lots of East and middle Asians. Chinese and Indians are taking over. Lots of super expensive cars and… When I first came to Boston some 12 years ago to drop off my eldest kid to college, the 1st thing I noticed (coming from CA) was the cars. No luxury cars at all. Now, it’s basically very common.
Comments: I don’t know the rules! Can he run again if served twice already? You got to love the system!!! Ahmadinejad is the most prominent candidate to register so far. Speaking after his registration, he vowed to seek “constructive engagement” with the world and improved economic relations with all nations. “The economic, political, cultural and security problems are beyond the situation in 2013,” Ahmadinejad said, referring to the year he left the presidency after two terms. After speaking to journalists in front of a bank of 50-odd microphones, Ahmadinejad said, his finger in the air: “Long live the spring, long live Iran!” Before his arrival at Iran’s Interior Ministry, his supporters chanted and waved Iranian flags. They quickly surrounded Ahmadinejad, 67, shouting: “God is the greatest!” He descended the stairs at the ministry, showing his passport as is custom to dozens of photographers and video journalists on hand for the registration process. As a woman processed his candidacy, he sat, turned to the journalists, nodding and smiling for the cameras. He was expected to give remarks after concluding his registration. An election is planned June 28 to replace Khamenei’s hard-line protégé President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash in May along with seven other people. Former parliament speaker Ali Larijani, a conservative with strong ties to Iran’s former relatively moderate President Hassan Rouhani, has already registered, as has former Iranian Central Bank chief Abdolnasser Hemmati, who also ran in 2021. Who else will seek to run remains in question. The country’s acting president, Mohammad Mokhber, previously a behind-the-scenes bureaucrat, could be the front runner because he has already been seen meeting with Khamenei. Also discussed as a possible aspirant is former reformist President Mohammad Khatami, but, as with Ahmadinejad, whether he would be allowed to run is another question. The five-day registration period will close on Tuesday, and the Guardian Council is expected to issue its final list of candidates within 10 days. That will allow for a shortened two-week campaign before the vote in late June.
Comments: Boston is very excited about Celtics! The Celtics have been dominant, losing just two games (fewest for a finalist in the last seven years) and outscoring opponents by 10.8 points per 100 possessions, all while playing without Kristaps Porzingis for their last 10 games. But their opponents have also been shorthanded, and none of them were as strong as the Mavs, who have gone 36-14 since early February. The Celtics have also (and obviously) not faced a duo as difficult to defend as Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Comments: The real final in the UEFA Champions league was between City and Madrid. Bayern and Dortmund only made it this far because they did not run into these two until later. They should have never made it this far. There were better teams.
Comments: "Maybe the future national team coach." Not a bad idea. Definitely better than Ghandali!! I like his style too.
Comments: Real Madrid games are like NBA basketball games. Only the last quarter is worth watching. They play the CQ style.
