Does Biden actually think he can win? Does he care?
KEY FACTS
Arizona: Trump leads by 5.7 points, a 1.7-point increase since early June, according to Real Clear Politics’ polling average that shows him beating Biden (who won the state by fewer than 11,000 votes in 2020) in all six polls included in the tracker since June 11.
Georgia: Trump is up 3.9 points in the state, nearly a one-point decline for the former president over the past six weeks, though all five polls included in Real Clear Politics’ polling average (dating back to May 30) show Trump winning by at least three points.
Michigan: Trump holds his narrowest lead, 1.3 points, of any swing state here, according to the average of six polls dating back to June 21, with just one showing Biden winning (Biden flipped Michigan in 2020).
Nevada: Biden also won this state by three points in 2020, but polls this year show Trump would beat him by five points, according to the average of six polls dating back to June 1, all showing Trump winning.
Pennsylvania: Trump holds a 4.5-point average lead and is ahead in all six polls dating back to June 27 included in the Real Clear Politics’ polling average, after Biden won the state by one point in 2020, flipping Trump’s 2016 win.
Wisconsin: Trump is winning here by three points, according to Real Clear Politics’ average of six polls dating back to June 28, with five showing Trump winning (Biden beat Trump by less than one point in Wisconsin in 2020 after Trump won the state in 2016).

Seems like a Wishlist from IRI!!!

Among the four pillars of Project 2025 is an over 900-page playbook for conservative activists to follow in the first 180 days of the next Republican administration to "bring quick relief to Americans suffering from the Left's devastating policies."

The plan includes a wish list of right-wing ideological outcomes, including banning pornography and imprisoning its creators, mass deportations, a ban on abortion medications, firings in the federal branch and cutting some federal agencies outright to "deconstruct the administrative state," and generally pursuing policies to promote "marriage, work, motherhood, fatherhood, and nuclear families."

The worst nightmare of Israel is not Iran with a nuke. It’s not Iranian proxies all around. The worst nightmare is if/when the west, especially America, reach an agreement with Iran and bring them back to the rest of the world.
They don’t want a “normal” Iran. They want Iran to stay as is or worse. The rumor about Iran being behind the assassination attempt is coming directly from Israel.
No normalization of the relationship between Iran and America. That would be a disaster. They have a partner in Iran as well. IRI would disappear if America and the west open up the relationship.

President Joe Biden is seriously considering publicly endorsing major reforms at the Supreme Court, a move that would make him the first sitting president in generations to back seismic changes to the way the nation’s highest court operates, according to two sources familiar with the deliberations.
Chief among the changes Biden is planning to publicly back are term limits for the nine justices, who currently serve lifetime appointments. The president is also said to be preparing to throw his support behind an ethics code for the court that would contain an enforcement mechanism, which was notably absent from the code the court adopted last year.
Liberal lawmakers and groups have been calling for these actions in recent years.
Additionally, Biden is considering whether he should push for a constitutional amendment that would effectively reverse the historic ruling from the court earlier this month that gave presidents immunity for some actions they take while in office.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk on Tuesday said he will move the headquarters for his aerospace company, SpaceX, and social media company, X, out of California, after Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a bill banning school districts from requiring parents to be notified if their child decides to change their gender identity.
“This is the final straw. Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas,” Musk wrote on X Tuesday.
“I did make it clear to Governor Newsom about a year ago that laws of this nature would force families and companies to leave California to protect their children,” the SpaceX CEO added.
He later said X, which he purchased in 2022, will move its headquarters from San Francisco to Austin, Texas.
“Have had enough of dodging gangs of violent drug addicts just to get in and out of the building,” Musk wrote.
The move comes one day after Newsom signed a bill into law that prevents school staff from “outing” a student to their parent or anyone else without their permission.
Supporters of the bill said it is a key protection for LGBTQ students as political rhetoric surrounding gender identity in schools has become increasingly tense.
The Hill reached out to Newsom’s office for comment.
Musk has faced criticism in the past for his personal posts related to the LBGTQ community, along with the content moderation changes he has made to X since purchasing the platform for $44 billion. Some civil rights groups have argued the changes have negatively impacted members of the LGBTQ community, making them more vulnerable to online harassment.
Earlier this year, X updated its abuse and harassment rules to revive regulations around content that misgenders or deadnames individuals.
The change came less than a year after X, under Musk’s leadership, revoked its ban on content that uses a transgender person’s name before they transitioned — known as a deadname — or purposefully used the wrong gender for someone.

If Iran can recruit an 18 year old dehati kid from PA to kill the former President then Iran is way ahead of the US in intelligence work. The US should urgently make amends with Iran and learn from them

There’s no indication that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the would-be assassin who attempted to kill the former president on Saturday, was connected to the plot, the sources said.
The existence of the intelligence threat from a hostile foreign intelligence agency — and the enhanced security for Trump — raises new questions about the security lapses at the Saturday rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, and how a 20-year-old man managed to access a nearby rooftop to fire shots that injured the former president.
It’s not clear whether the specifics of the Iran threat were shared with the Trump campaign, which said in a statement: “We do not comment on President Trump’s security detail. All questions should be directed to The United States Secret Service.”
The Secret Service recently “added protective resources and capabilities to the former President’s security detail,” agency spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement on Sunday.
Secret Service officials have warned the Trump campaign repeatedly against holding outdoor rallies, which pose greater risks than events to which the agency can better control access, people briefed on the matter said. The warnings have been more general in nature, the sources said.
At one point during this election cycle, the campaign stopped holding spontaneous off-the-record events where guests weren’t swept by Secret Service beforehand due to security concerns, a source familiar with the matter told CNN.
The FBI, which is conducting the investigation into Saturday’s shooting, declined to comment.
CNN has requested comment from the Department of Homeland Security and the Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
Iran has repeatedly vowed revenge for the US military’s killing of Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Iranian military’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in January 2020. And former senior Trump administration officials who worked on national security have had tight security since leaving the government.
In August 2022, the Justice Department announced criminal charges against a member of the IRGC for allegedly trying to orchestrate the assassination of John Bolton, who served as Trump’s national security adviser. US prosecutors said the plot against Bolton was “likely in retaliation” for Soleimani’s assassination.
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was also a target of the Iranian assassination plot, according to a federal law enforcement source familiar with the investigation and a source close to Pompeo.
For months, law enforcement officials have been concerned about the persistent threat of Iran potentially attempting to assassinate former Trump officials and the former president himself, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. But the recent intelligence suggested a significant uptick in the threat, the sources told CNN.
Warnings about that operational planning have coincided with a noticeable surge of online messaging from Iranian accounts and state-backed media mentioning Trump, which has raised security concerns among US officials, one of the sources told CNN.

I know people always say this, but I am seriously considering pushing my move out of America by a year or so to earlier date.

I was thinking mid to late 2026 due to some personal reasons including my kid's graduation and best possible benefits for my retirement but now, I am thinking mid 2025 or latest early 2026.

I am almost certain about what to expect in Portugal and Iran. I have no idea about the future of America.

I don't expect too much from where I have chosen to spend the retirement. I know the problems and issues there. When it comes to America's future, uncertainty is way too scary for me.
