Comments: 4-1 now. After the last Asian Cup, I was of the opinion that our loss was Shamsaei's fault. He showed no ability to adjust. Then I saw that he still stayed. But thought may be he needs experience. But I see the same thing here. He now has only one half to show that I was wrong. So far the only thing he has shown is that he and a bunch of his players do not belong.
Comments: 3-1 now on another counter. Shamsayi needs to pull this team back and allow for morocco to attack. Passing the ball around and having the ball all the time but not having any scoring chances is no good. They r giving easy counter attack opportunities to Morocco.
Comments: Morocco 2 - 1 Iran 90% of the ball is with Iran. Morocco is playing entirely defense.

Comments: I certainly hope it all works out for the best. Never easy to make a big move but my advice is to do less thinking and calculating. If it feels right, do it. The rest will work out one way or another. Good luck and congratulations.
Comments: A few years later, not days!
Comments: Shahryar jAn, your story is a mirror of mine. I was offered a high-level job in Bloomington, Indiana. Bloomington is nothing special but IU's College of of Public Health is highly ranked and was offered to be its inaugural Dean with a huge budget and a huge salary. Their salaries are public and you can find out what salary levels they offer for Deans. Given the low cost of living there, it would have been a huge financial boost as well as a huge step up in my career. But, I had two parents here with special needs which was very well covered here in San Diego with caregivers who spoke Farsi to them. They were quite used to the caregivers and the adult daycare center they went to. Similar care (but not farsi speaking) was about $8k/month in Bloomington. I also had kids in high school and nearby colleges who did not want us to move. Financially, the move still made sense, but I just could not bring myself to move my parents at an old age. My brother offered to take care of them but I thought he did not know what he was getting into. So, I did not accept the job, A few days later, my parents went back to Iran after all but I no longer had the job offer. Looking back I am happy I did not take the job. I made a move here in SD and am happy with what I am doing. But honestly, I am a research guy and know how to do that well. In that role I deal with a limited number of people. As a dean you have a large number of constituents and are putting fires all the time. So, I was not so fond of that either. For you, I presume you are making the move within the private sector and so, things probably will not be drastically different. So, if the move makes sense career-wise and financially, I would seriously think about the opportunity. Exciting my friend and congratulations.
Comments: Thanks Faramarz JAn; its very kind of you; but then again you are always the gentleman. Although I do not have the Job offer yet, i believe its will be made, most likely next Friday. My problem, as all you doostan know is my parents, that I am not sure I can leave them alone. It is a huge dilemma. I am taking it one step at a time. My brother is offering to take my place, but that is just too much for him to do and I am used to it by now. having said that I would love to live in Boston.
Comments: I wonder if this is a trump revenge case. Some of teh charges sound ridiculous. Free upgrade on Turkish Airlines? Really? And Trump goes free for all his gross crimes?
Comments: Maghsoud, if I just hadn't seen the news, I would not have believed it. Bribe from so many countries. Uzbekistan is the funniest. What would the country gain from bribing NYC mayor?
Comments: Add South Korea and Uzbekistan to the list. :)
Comments: Sounds like trump. 😂😂😂
Comments: NYC mayor took bribes from Turkey, China, Qatar, Israel and a bunch of other countries. 😂😂😂😂

Comments: Even the conservative WSJ is can't keep a straight face about Trump economy: A Deere in Trump’s Political HeadlightsA tariff is the former President’s solution to every economic problem these days.“As you know, they’ve announced a few days ago that they are going to move a lot of their manufacturing business to Mexico,” Mr. Trump said in Pennsylvania. “I am just notifying John Deere right now that if you do that, we are putting a 200% tariff on everything that you want to sell into the United States.” The back story is that Deere this summer said it plans to move manufacturing of compact construction equipment to Mexico from Iowa. The company is also laying off more than 2,000 workers after bulking up during the pandemic recovery. It blamed “lower commodity costs, lower order volumes and a softening construction market.”

Comments: Shahryar jAn, If you move to Boston as well, I will have to come visit the two of you in my old city! As for the new job, more power to you. Having recently gone through the process, I can say that it is exciting. Fortunately, I did not have to move but moving across the country at this stage when kids have moved out or are independent is much easier. Good luck to you my friend. Getting a job offer at this stage means you are something quite unique. Very proud of you my friend. Well done.
Comments: Shahryar, Nice, I hope it works out and we become Hamshahree. Keep me posted and let me know if you are traveling here. We can get together. |
