Comments: Remember when Obama was President and they were trying to force Iran into nuclear negotiations they used to say "all options are on the table" in regards to Iran's nuclear program which meant we can target them militarily. Today it's the US President that is telling the mafia regime not to target Iran's nuclear program. Why?

Comments: Good discussion guys. How would killing those people change the regime though? Even if they are successful in all their goals, replacements will be there very quickly to control the situation.
Comments: Seems like Israel and America have decided to hit Iran hard. It probably means they will hit strategic targets but also go after individuals. That 2nd part will not be pretty as they have to hit civilian areas with possible massive civilian casualties. Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper weighed in on Israel’s likely response to a barrage of missiles launched by Tehran earlier this week and potential attacks on Iran nuclear facilities, saying it would be a “significant strike.” “It’ll be a significant strike,” he told CNN’s Anderson Cooper Friday evening. “And the first question will be is what do they want to achieve if they want to go after regime change? And I think they’ll … go into Tehran and they’ll go after the Ayatollah Khomeini, they’ll go after President [Masoud] Pezeshkian, and they’ll go after the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps].”
Comments: Twice during his presidency, Trump ordered attacks on Iran and the generals convinced him to lay back. Generals didn’t trust the guy. They, just like most of us, understood the problem with that. He also ordered attacks on Syria, twice! They let him do that to make him feel like he is in charge. When he couldn’t attack Iran directly, he ordered the attack on Solamani which was agreed upon with Iranian leaders. For whatever reason, he has a thing about Iran. I don’t know the history but he really wants to attack Iran. Given a chance, he will do it, if not directly, with the help of Israel. After that, he has a good excuse to defend Israel.
Comments: I think we should make a distinction between seeking peace and not wanting a personal war. Trump does not seek peace. He also does not mind starting wars and actually loves to start wars between others. It is just that he is scared of them personally. He is scared because he thinks it would hurt his popularity.
Now, in all these discussions, we assume that Trump actually understands what he is doing which is not the case most of the time. He is actively looking out for his own pocket and trying to escape the law. I am not sure whether he just does not get it or whether he just cannot afford the time to stop from the running away to think about what he is doing. In either case, whether intentionally or by mistake, he has done some pretty nasty things that have started wars. Keep in mind that wars often do not start right away unless you start them. If you plant the seed of the war, it takes time for the seed to bare fruit. For example the seed of the Ukraine war was planted by Clinton and then all the following presidents watered that seed. Trump, if he were a peace seeker, would have killed that seed somehow by putting out the flames of war. But he did nothing about it. He just ignored the Ukraine situation which was creaming war. So, Trump has shown that he is not a peace loving person, time and time again. Now among the wars that Trump personally planted the seed for one can mention the current Israel-Palestinian war that has become one of the worst wars in fatalities since Vietnam. This is what Kushner did in the middle east on behalf of Trump. We must not forget that. He moved the American Embassy to Jerusalem, a move that every president has disagreed with, and forced a BS roo boosi between the mozdoor arab states and Israel. You knew that this does not put out any flames but rather fans it. This is all a War that Trump started. And the whole time he is fanning it by telling Israel to do whatever it wants. Another clear planting of the seed of war was the tearing up of the JCPOA. If that is not announcement of war, I am not sure what it is. So, that is when IRI realized that it had to arm itself to the teeth and that there was no reliance on any treaty with the US. In the mean time IRI has taken full advantage of the situation. Not only they now have tens, if not hundreds of thousands of missiles that can destroy the entire middle east, Israel included, they also have the atomic bomb and are looking for an excuse to test it as a way of announcing it to the world. This is all Trumps' doing. So, saying that Trump does not start wars is preposterous at best. At worst, such a statement comes from a person who is intentionally trying to deceit people. Unfortunately, we have seen a few of the latter group around ourselves.
Comments: Zinsky, Tearing up the contract with Iran was meant to start a war with Iran. Also his conduct against Russia and with NATO, caused the Russia-Ukraine war. you don't have to pull the trigger to cause a death. These things are usually done indirectly,m and he id definitely cause of many of the wars we see today.
Comments: One argument some make in support of Trump is that he is anti war. The proof is that during his 4 years in office America didn’t “start” any wars. 1st of all, it’s pretty sad that not starting a war in 4 years is such an accomplishment! 2nd, he might not be crazy about wars in general but he is looking for a war with Iran. Mark my word.
