Comments: I’m ashamed to say that I was not fully aware of the events of 21 Azar. I remember reading about it a long time ago but never spent enough time to understand it. I always complain about internet and social media but one good use of it is to research history. Of course, just like anything else, one has to be careful with the “facts”! Faramarz, that is very interesting story of the times. My parents were from Zanjan. I’m sure they were more aware of the events.
Comments: Holy shit what a story Faramarz. Happy 21 Azar to all iranians. without Azerbaijan Iran would be much weaker.
Comments: My father told me the story of how Shah's troupes surrounded Tabriz to cut off all help from outside to the Pishevari inside. They then did not storm the city for two days. In those two days people themselves took matters in their hands and killed as many Pishevari as they could get their hands on. My father says he was a kid and had been sent to buy some naft. He was carrying that back home when a Pishevari soldier dropped from the roof of a building onto the sidewalk in front of him. They used to stand guard on roof tops to watch the streets. Someone from across the street shot him and so he dropped dead onto the sidewalk in front of the Sa'at, a famous square in Tabriz. He said that in the two days, sidewalks was filled with dead bodies. After two days when Shah entered the city, no one was left to fight back. People had taken care of the matter themselves!
Comments: Rashti jAn mamnoon. I have many stories of celebrations on this day including my grandfather giving out shirni on the streets after Pishevari fled upon Shah's arrival. People of AzerbaijAn indefinitely remain grateful for that victory.

Comments: Farid, It was a disaster. Every 5 minutes they rushed the ref arguing something or another.
Comments: By the way Dollar reached 72,500 toman. An all time high
Comments: Agha Zinsky I was watching the game too. I had to turn it off since I am getting ready for my shift but was getting really sick of the arguments. Isn't the rule that only the captain can approach the ref? What is all this rush to the ref anytime someone screws up and loses the ball? I think players of big clubs r worse. They have entitlement issues.
Comments: First pics of Assad in Miscow
Comments: They seriously should card any player who argues with the ref for more than 5 seconds. Maybe the captain would get 10 seconds.
