Comments: https://youtu.be/85ZOlX5jhio This is a very important video for everyone to watch. I have developed a lot of respect for col. Lawrence Wilkerson. He is well informed and very credible. There are many messages here including how Iran is breaking the blockade, how it has so far sold over $20B worth of oil, and the current geopolitical and military situation. His discussion includes the role of Russia and the conversation that Putin had with Trump a couple of days ago after Araghchi's visit. The full length of the video is only 12 minutes. for some reason the whole thing repeats and so, ignore the total length of the video. You do not have to watch everything.

Comments: In the FIFA congress in Canada they approved a 15% raise for each of the 48 teams in the WC. That means each team will get at least $12.5M. Canada and Mexico will not deduct any taxes from the money. Trump being a Trump wants to deduct 30% taxes from each team playing in the USA but FIFA seems to have secured a deal to exempt the payment from US taxes! https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/apr/29/world-cup-teams-tax-exemption-fifa-talks-us-treasury-federal-taxes So there is a lot of money for IRIFF to ignore and I think they will show up The thing is IRIFF needs to make sure they get the payment secured before coming over since Trump's regime will find an excuse not to pay them based on sanctions, etc....
Comments: This is a post by someone on X. I have been following here for sometime, she’s smart n witty.
Comments: Speaking of Ali Karimi, he is posting anti war stuff (wow!), Ghaseminejad is no longer in FDD (fired?), significantly fewer hate comments from Pahlavi bots on here, most dancing zombies on instagram deactivated… how long until Goldie, Elica & the one who ‘came out’ as conservative get the memo?
Comments: I’m predicting that Team Meli will not show up to the games. About a week or so before the games, they will come up with a semi valid excuse to skip the WC. IRI won’t send the team to be attacked by LA Iranians. By then, it would be too late to replace Iran with another team. I’m glad we are separating the politics and sports!!!

Comments: That palestinian man is another one of those brave people. The thing about that scene is that a mediator cannot be obviously bribe-able and onesided. Otherwise, their mediation will be looked at as a trap. When FIFA does not allow the head of Iran's football federation because he is labeled as a terrorist, but has no issue with the representative of a genocidal regime, all respect and credibility goes out the window. I could live with both not being admitted. But the one with the much bigger crime to be welcomed in insane.
Comments: The important thing is that this elite group have always shown their higher character in sports and then it was never a surprise that they emerged in society outside the arena as well. Takhti famously wrestled with one Arm because his opponent hurt one of his arms and the ref said that he has to withdraw. He did not want to as it would have been counted as a zarbe fanni. So, Takhti offered to wrestle with only one arm to offer him a chance to compete. You can easily see his higher character here. Ali Daei broke his skull in the 6-2 destruction of South Korea. Everyone told him to sit out. But it was 2-0 for Korea. He refused and insisted on playing with his head wrapped. Iran scored 6 in a row with Daei not only scoring some of his best goals in that game but taking the lead and empowering players who were totally demoralized at that point. Completely outplayed, 2-0 down, and their best scorer and leader on the verge of abandoning the game due to injury. He is showing the same stamina and never give up attitude right now in society.
Comments: Yes, Movahed is one in a long line of athletes and real society leaders that we have had. Takhti and Ali Daei are better known in this line. But there have been others in between. This is why it pisses me off when some other athletes pretend to be part of this very elite group. Karimi is one of these self serving pretenders.
