Comments: Zinsky, he sure did well internally. He also surely had mistakes some were bigger than others. His biggest mistake (or flaw) was that he was incredibly naive. Completely trusting that USA is his friend and that people of Iran love him! As his disappointment in the video shows, he was clearly shocked that the silent majority did not rise in his support. On the hindsight he did recognize that perhaps enghelAb sefid (or as he called it liberalization) was a mistake. the biggest mistake was taking land away from arbAbs, giving it to raeiyat, without compensating the arbAb, or having a plan for the raeiyat. What is a raeiyat going to do with a bAnke Keshavarzi when he cannot read or write? Where is he going to get money for the equipment he needed to maintain the farm? I know this first hand from my grand father's experience who lost 80 villages in exchange for nothing. He had paid and bought them all legally. They all stand as a matrooke deh today. That enghelAbe sefid devastated Iran's agriculture.

Comments: Trump has vowed to give green cards to college grads to help degreed foreign students stay in the US
Comments: Interesting subject and discussion. I believe he didn’t understand or believed that USA’s 1st and only ally in Middle East was and always will be Israel. He assumed USA is a friend of him and Iran. He also was very afraid of religion and God. Overall, he did a good job while he was given the chance. Iran in mid 70s was the best place to live, work and enjoy life for many. He made lots of mistakes towards the end.
Comments: This was right after his gull bladder surgery in Columbia Hospital
Comments: CIA almost had him deplaned at JFK n was gonna arrest n give him back to Iran, Rockefeller boy was informed n he told Farah to ask the pilot to ignore the tower n fly
Comments: He was good at his job, but Shahs answer are almost comical n so naive
Comments: By the way, David Frost is a snake!
Comments: The part when he asked who do you think betrayed you in America, he said I do not know but I know who surrounded me. So, looks like he put all the blame on the people around him and nothing on the Americans. He even named a few generals who were spared in the revolution and wondered why., suggesting that they betrayed him.
Comments: He was pushed into sports, n outdoor activities. Then eventually he was forced to become a pilot. All his dad’s ideas. He wore the uniform well thu 😞
Comments: I am not sure they raised him to be a military man. He definitely was not. He was too soft, if anything.
Comments: His dad was in charge but as I said he was too illiterate to understand what was needed for an effective leader. He wanted a sophisticated but military mind, he didn’t respect or valued politicians cuz he crushed them in his rise
Comments: I think they just dumped him in Switzerland and had nothing to do with his upbringing. The people who managed his upbringing did khiyaanat either from stupidity or intentionally raised a puppet or this was just his nature
Comments: Reza Shah was a thug n in his mind a strong military son was ideal
Comments: And I blame his father for all that shortcomings
Comments: This is so sad.
Comments: He didn’t understand governance, plain n simple. He studied languages, literature and even science but zero and I mean zero about political procedures or governance
Comments: There are many hands and many different and most of the time competing interests and every four years they change
Comments: Well you gotta understand he equated US government with Nixon, Henry Kissinger and Rockefeller. He didn’t grasp the idea that US doesn’t operate like Iran
Comments: In this interview he says that american oil companies did this but United States did nothing and nothing they could have done to help. How could have oil companies done this without the help of the government and the CIA? How naive is this? Even a year after he left Iran and he saw all that happened, he still believed that US government had nothing to do with this.
