Australian media just announced Fall of Bashar Assad after 14 yrs of war in Syria ends decades-long dynasty. Assad fled to UAE.
Meanwhile UAE, Israel, Turkey, and Trump administration are negotiating on the faith of Assad and it looks like they want to keep him at bay.
Biggest loser here unfortunately is the Islamic Republic. They have not only lost their grip and control in Levant area they have also lost tens of Billions of Iranian money. Both in Syria and in Lebanon there are billions of dollars of Iranian cash and tons of gold. Those are the first things Erdogan is after. We are talking about tens of billions of Iranian money and gold. All will go to Turkey.
With Russia abandoning support for both iran and Syria, iran finds itself in a very difficult position. It looks like all of what is happening is part of a bigger discussion about Russia and Ukraine. Anonymous sources revealed Macron who was hosting the reopening of Noter-Dame essentially transferred the entitlement of Lebanon to USA.
Meanwhile for Iran it is wait and see. Iran has no leverage left to broker any deal.

It seems like lots of deals being made in Middle East. It also doesn’t seem that Iran has much to do with them. They are accepting them as they realize they have no choice.
Iran tried and spent too much money to control the neighborhood. It seems they are running out or already ran out of.
Funny part is that Trump will get credit if it goes well and blame Biden if it goes to shit.
Overall, I think Iran and Iranians will be better off in few years.

Amazing loss today. I cannot believe it! When the leader loses to the last place, it speaks volumes about a league. First is that there is not a whole lot of difference between the first and the last place. Bigger names for sure. But on the field there does not seem to be a big difference!
