I am amazed that politicians from 3rd world states in the USA in the deep south have the audacity to want and put conditions on any federal aid going to CA for the fire disaster. If they could they would probably put sanctions on CA like China, Iran, Russia.... LOL!!!!!!! Comments: Faramarz, yes it does look like gorgam behava, it's a simple game with minimal equipment  We also used to play a game called 'toop arabi' in primary school in Tehran which was something like baseball/softball. We had a pitcher and the hitters used their extended fist to hit the small plastic ball and then go to bases but for tagging you had to hit the player with the ball to win points ![[biggrin]](https://cdn.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif "Big Grin - :D") Anyway, Iranian men's team won 2 games to today and play Kenya in the 1/4 final tomorrow. Comments: It’s sad to see what has happened to this country, its citizens and its leaders. Citizens are ready to kill anyone who doesn’t agree with them. So much hate and anger. The leaders are getting more and more corrupt. They only care for themselves and their corporate donors. Facts and logic don’t matter anymore. The louder voices are always heard only and silent the rest. Worse part is the leaders who act like 5 year old children. They want all the credit and none of the blames!
Comments: Well, I also barely remember it. but basically, we used the pelleh in front of each door in the alley as the safe houses. Anyone who jumped on those could not be tagged. It was challenging to stay on those because with the doors closed the step was a narrow strip. The game was then played by people trying to run from one safe house to another without being tagged. But because there were not that many steps, this turned out to be a chase in many cases that was away from the safe steps-very much like kho kho. In that game, if I remember correctly, we only had one tagger though. Here they have a team of taggers who could be activated.

Comments: Let me introduce to you a sport you have never heard about. It's called Kho Kho and it's 2025 world cup is currently taking place in India. The sport seems to be native to South Asia and based on the results they are very good at it. India seems to be the best team. Iran is participating in both men and women competitions. The men have done very well and demolished both ARG and NED by a 90+ margin. The women beat Malaysia but got demolished by India.
