Comments: Back when I was traveling to China, I used to work with BYD. Back then, Warren Buffet started to invest in BYD because of their battery technology. I am not sure if he still have those investments or not, but BYD should be more valuable than Tesla at this point.

Comments: Congress is potentially voting this week on a bill that could make it harder for millions of Americans to exercise their right to vote. The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act would require people registering to vote or updating their voter registration to show documents in person proving American citizenship. In theory these requirements sound reasonable, but in reality they may become a big barrier for many Americans to vote, according to opponents of the bill. For example, potentially 69 million married women in America who have taken their spouse’s last name and don’t have a birth certificate matching their legal name could face hurdles when registering to vote or updating their voter registration.

Comments: Yeah, once I put a laptop in my suitcase thinking it was too heavy to carry along with all the other stuff. I was shaking in my boots once I realized what I had done. At the time, I was a poor student and did not have the resources to replace it.

Comments: Reza, Losing luggage is not uncommon but usually it is found and returned in less than a day. Turkish Airlines has 2 daily flights to Boston from Istanbul. You would assume they put it in the next flight but no! They stored it for two days before sending it! Why? Why ask why? I’m just glad it was found and returned. I wasn’t sure what I put in it but after opening it, I realized my wife had few valuables in there which could have been painful to lose. Not just $ wise but hard to replace ones.

Comments: After Columbia capitulated to President in exchange for the $400 million in grants the administration cut, the administration is now withholding that money anyway. Hopefully institutions learn the lesson here: Capitulation will not save you. All Columbia did was hand the government more authority for free. |
