Comments: I think this will all come down to Russia's position. We already know where Israel stands. If Russia wants to avoid confrontation between its two subsidiaries, then the deal will happen. But if the two subsidiaries get too close to each other, Russia would prefer a war over peace. Then they will work with Israel to bomb the deal.
Comments: Trump being Trump flip flops about everything including the deal with Iran. One day he goes crazy and threatens Iran with massive military strikes and the next day he wants to be nice and wants a deal. It’s hard to tell which Trump will make the final decision. I’m not sure if threatening someone in the middle of negotiations is the best way to get the deal done or maybe that is the point. Saying, “I tried but they didn’t listen” might be the plan after all. I would not bet on either side of this deal. It’s 50/50 now.

Comments: I had the same conversation with friends and family back home that we have been having here for years. They didn’t call me names or gang up on me or others for having different opinions even though, they are in the middle of it all while people here are thousands of miles away saying “lengesh kon”! Just about everyone is looking for a change. They are in agreement that this regime has been a disaster and they can’t live like this. The difference is that some believe “anything is better than this”, and willing for the change to come in any form with anyone’s help. Others, like me, are more concerned about what is “anything”! We, Iranians, made the same mistake 47 years ago. People wanted a change. They wanted Shah gone. There were legitimate reasons for the anger people had. Everyone with different ideologies, from leftist to liberals to religious people united against Shah without asking or knowing what could happen after he was gone. They asked for help from East and West. We know what happened. We got out of shit to fall into much deeper shit. I’m afraid those who argue that as long as this is gone, it will be better, don’t want to remember the history of their own country or many other countries that went through the same process. In Iran and among my friends and family, the split was almost 50/50 for change with any means possible and not falling into the same trap.

Comments: I had a feeling that Trump and YAboo would split on Iran. This also goes a long way to expose the global relationships. I think Trump is closer to Putin than he is to YAboo. This split might become deeper in time, if he strikes a deal with IRI.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on Sunday for Iran’s entire nuclear infrastructure to be dismantled, as talks between the US and Iran appeared to move in a positive direction following a third round of indirect negotiations in Oman over the weekend. Netanyahu also specified that Iran must not be allowed to enrich uranium or even to retain the capacity to do so, and told a conference that he had presented his position on the matter to US President Donald Trump, and was in close contact with the US on the subject. It was unclear, however, exactly how much Netanyahu’s position aligns with that of the US. Speaking to reporters, also on Sunday, Trump did not appear to share his concerns. “On the Iran situation, I think we’re doing very well,” said Trump. “I think a deal is going to be made there. It’s going to happen. Pretty sure it’s going to happen.” “We’ll have something without having to start dropping bombs all over the place,” Trump added.

Comments: The explosion in Iran is getting more and more suspicious with the satellite images and eyewitness accounts. It seems it started with 3 separate fires, each few hundred meters from each other. After few seconds, the explosion started. It’s unusual for 3 fires at the same time in different areas of the port. It doesn’t look like a missile attack but more like coordinated action to start the fires near what was known to be highly inflammable materials. My 2 cents put this in the hands of the internal opposition to the regime with possible help from either internal or external intelligence.
Comments: The Emergency Medical Services Organization of Tehran Province has confirmed that two individuals—a 60-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy—tragically lost their lives due to Sunday night’s severe storm. Additionally, 41 people were injured as a result of the storm across Tehran Province. Of the injured, 12 were treated on site by emergency medical teams, while 29 others were transported to medical centers for further treatment.
