"Elon Musk gets more than $20 billion in contracts from the US government and bought his way into a new role in the government where he can direct even more money to himself. Enough," Pocan wrote on X. "My new bill, the ELON MUSK Act, will end this grift!" he added. Musk's so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has become a lightning rod for criticism as the billionaire's unelected minions work to gut the federal government by rummaging through the Treasury Department's systems. "@ElonMusk is ripping us off and like millions of Americans across the country, I’m pissed," Pocan added in another post. "I’m taking action by introducing the ELON MUSK Act, preventing grifters like him from getting richer while pillaging our tax dollars for himself," he wrote. Pocan is absolutely right. Musk's increasing control over our government while making money off government contracts is the definition of a conflict of interest. He and Trump are transitioning us from a democracy into a full-blown oligarchy. Enough is enough. Pass this bill immediately.

Comments: I know I’m sounding like a broken record but international diplomacy is much more complicated and illogical than most ordinary people can imagine. Many shocking events to us are actually orchestrated in advanced by the leadership of countries. I’m not fully gone mad to say they planned 9/11 or October 7th directly but they set the ground work for them to happen. The exact events or timelines are not as important. It’s like a coach training and preparing his team for a game. They can’t be 100% sure how and when players are going to score the winning goal but they prepare them to do so. It doesn’t always work and adjustments are necessary every now and then. Most of us look at the current & past events and ask ourselves how did we get here. We, as ordinary people, have not been involved in any of these. Most of us are just observers who are affected but not part of the game. Right now we are looking at this country, our own homeland, Middle East as a whole and wondering what a mess! It’s a mess for sure but not fully random. People always ask what is the solution to this or that. As if 99% of the earth population has any say in any of this. It is maddening and scary but in all reality it’s just a scary movie and we are just playing a small role in it.

Democratic lawmakers and advocacy organizations worry how that could impact Social Security, Medicare and other government benefits Americans rely on. In a new letter to Congress, the Treasury Department said Social Security and Medicare payments have not been delayed or re-routed, while Musk's team has "read only" access.

These people have no government work experience n many have no prior work experience at all. Imagine a 19-year old going through FBI records n deciding on the faith of the bureau or the individual cases. These people will be like the young shah. They will do whatever they have been told n will have no backbone to use judgement or conscience.
