650 Fifth Avenue (formerly known as the Piaget Building and the Pahlavi Foundation Building) is a 36-story 150 m (490 ft) building at Fifth Avenue and 52nd Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City.

The building was designed by John Carl Warnecke & Associates[1] for the Pahlavi Foundation, an organization run by the then-Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, "to pursue Iran's charitable interests in the U.S.". After the Iranian revolution in 1979, the Islamic Republic of Iran sought to take control of the Shah's property, including the assets of the Pahlavi Foundation, which was renamed the Alavi Foundation.

Tenants who leased space at 650 Fifth Avenue included Ivan F. Boesky, the infamous "greed-is-good" Wall Street speculator who was convicted of insider trading in 1987, and Marc Rich, a billionaire oil trader whose invention of the spot oil market made his fortune and changed the world economy.[citation needed]

The Alavi Foundation itself has its headquarters in Suite 2406.[2]

There are plenty of articles supporting the ownership of fertile lands by the Pahlavi Foundation which got it thru Reza Khan’s ownership. His son just westernized it thru the creation of a Foundation that’s all. The undisputed fact is the Pahlavi Foundation didn’t explicitly purchase all those land parcels as there are  no sale records. So it stands to reason they were grabbed. Logic baby logic, something Shaholiahz don’t seen to posses

Chat GPT fully agrees with my assessment 😏

During the Pahlavi dynasty in Iran, the royal family owned vast tracts of land across the country, primarily concentrated in fertile agricultural areas, including large estates in the provinces of Khuzestan, Mazandaran, Gilan, and around Tehran, often managed through the Pahlavi Foundation, which allowed them to buy and sell land for business ventures; these lands were collectively referred to as "Amlak" (royal lands) within the foundation's structure.

Key points about Pahlavi lands:
Extensive holdings:
The Pahlavi family owned a significant portion of Iran's most productive agricultural land, including large estates in oil-rich Khuzestan and the Caspian Sea coastal regions.
Management through the Pahlavi Foundation:
The majority of royal lands were managed through the Pahlavi Foundation, which allowed for investments and business dealings related to these properties.

It was common knowledge he had grabbed land my grandfather who was a colonel (sar hang) in Jandarmeri used to tell us that the best orchids outside Tabriz belonged to Agha Khan ( his nickname). Even if we wasn’t the largest he was top 5 coming from absolute poverty that’s some corruption

I did not know that. The ShahollAhi propaganda does not talk about that kind of stuff. :) And there is not a whole lot of independent research about that era.

Well that’s how he was known back then. He became the largest land owner in Iran at the time. Did you know that???

By the way, I have been curious about how Germany saw Iran during Reza Shah's era. We have heard a lot from ShahollAhies and the western perspective. But very little is known about the German perspective.

I have found some German text from back then and been reading it. One of the very interesting things is that they refer to him as Reza Khan. Today, shahollAhies consider this as an insult. But in German literature, this is his name!
